Hi everyone! I'm a newbie living in southern NH (about 40 miles from Boston). I am eager to learn about real estate investing and I am looking for learning and networking opportunities throughout the region. All contacts are welcome.

Welcome to BP, Tim. I also read your other post about becoming a student of some investors in your area.

There are lots of networking opportunities in the area, and I'll list a few below. But before you sign a contract with a rehabber, I'd branch out a little more. There are many people for you to connect with, and I think a wider exposure to a greater range of experienced people would be eye opening. So before you make that decision, try a few of these events:

NHREIA.com Manchester NH - 2nd Wednesday - Mar 12, speaker not yet announced. This is a traditional REIA with memberships and meeting fees, but it is non-profit and has only 1 or 2 selling speakers per year. It is the only group in NH of significant size that I'm aware of. You will find lots of NH investors to connect with.

NewEnglandREIA.com - Chelmsford MA - 1st Wednesday, Mar 5, speaker Jen Aalerud. Although a for-profit REIA with memberships and meeting fees, they have few if any selling speakers. You will find a mix of NH and MA real estate investors to network with.

Bigger Pockets unofficial meetup, @Justin Silverio organizer. Free meetup in Reading but it conflicts with the NHREIA date, you will find mostly MA investors but this one is at his current rehab project so will be interesting to see. You'll have to choose between this and NHREIA on that date.

There are then other groups within driving distance: BlackDiamondREI.com is free and we hold meetings in Worcester and Waltham on the 3rd and 4th Tuesday. MassRealEstate.net is in the Peabody area and is run by @Mike Hurney , it is not free but may be convenient for you depending on when he sets his next date.

At any of these events you will find a ready and able group to buy your wholesale deals if they are priced properly.

Also do more reading here on BP on wholesaling before you make a decision to commit to one couple who have been doing this for only a few years. Good luck.
