Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this site. I have wanted to get into REI since 2008 and I finallyo the initiative to start now. I'm currently working in the oil and gas industry on the manufacturing side of things and have been for 17 years. I'm ready for a change and I know this is right up my alley. I look forward to picking everyones brain ;-)

Hi Eric,

The capital to start and your goals will determine what niche of real estate to focus on. Different niches have varying levels of capital requirements and some throw off more yield than others. It's a function of how active or passive you want to be.

It would help you to nail down what type of investing you are going after. For example residential, multifamily, commercial, land, note investing, etc.
