Newbie in Houston
Just wanted to introduce myself briefly. I am so grateful to have found biggerpockets! I have been addicted to the real estate industry since I had my first taste in the closing dept. for a loss mitigation division a few years back. My interest in real estate was peaked further when I landed an office manager job for a RE office during the RE boom in South FL but unfortunately we had to move to Houston unexpectedly and were never able to cash in on the South FL boom. After some financial setbacks and credit issues, we are currently preparing to purchase our first home in the next month or so, a foreclosure which will prove to be an equitable invesment. And at a time when most people are panicking and running as a result of the current market, I am seeing nothing but opportunity and potential :idea: . So instead of dreaming about it, I am studying and learning in preparation to get out there and just do it :wink:
