Aspiring BRRRR Investor in the Fort Worth Area - Seeking Mentors & Networking!
Hey BiggerPockets Community!
Excited to finally join this awesome platform and start my real estate journey! My name is Cameron and my wife is Gabrielle and we are located in the Mineral Wells/Fort Worth area of Texas. We're incredibly eager to learn and eventually dive into the world of real estate investing, with a particular interest in the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method.
We're starting with very limited capital – less than $5,000 – so we know we have an uphill battle and a lot to learn. We're prepared to work hard and are looking for creative strategies to get our first deal done.
Our biggest goal right now is to connect and network with experienced real estate investors and mentors in the Fort Worth and surrounding areas. We believe that learning from those who have already walked this path is the most valuable thing we can do.
We found some potential groups like the DFW Real Estate Investor Club and the Real Estate Investors Organization (REIO-FW) through some initial research and plan to check them out.
We would be incredibly grateful for any advice, insights, or connections you might have. Are there other local meetups, investor groups, or individuals in the Fort Worth area you would recommend we connect with? Any tips for getting started with limited funds and the BRRRR strategy would also be hugely appreciated!
We're looking forward to being active members of this community and learning as much as we can.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cameron and Gabrielle

@Cameron Gundvaldson very excited for you. I think the best thing about real estate investing is that you can tailor your plan to fit your strengths. Knowing you are in Mineral Wells, I would start looking there. You might have a little less competition than the larger metro areas and you can quickly network. Networking is always key in this business, especially in smaller markets.
