@Jason Powell,

Hey, welcome to BiggerPockets - glad to have you here!

Central PA is a great place to be based, especially with access to both local investing opportunities and the flexibility to explore out-of-state markets if you decide to go that route.

Since you're just getting started, a few tips that helped me early on:

Listen to the BP podcast - Start with the Rookie episodes and work your way into the OG ones. Tons of gold in there.

Play around with the calculators on the site - helps you get a feel for how the numbers work.

Engage in the forums - asking questions, even small ones, is how so many of us learned (and still do!).

If you're not sure whether to invest locally or look elsewhere, start researching markets that align with your goals (cash flow, appreciation, landlord-friendly laws, etc.).

Don’t hesitate to post questions or updates as you go — this is a super supportive community. You’re definitely in the right place!

Looking forward to seeing your journey unfold! 🚀
