Introduction to community

Hi all, I'm so excited to join the community and learn from everyone here. I recently got out of the military and was able to find a decent paying job. I achieved a dream of mine by purchasing my first home. I'm also recently married all within the same year so it's been a good 2025 so far. I've been interested in entrepreneurship and real estate after reading a bunch but still find purchasing another property daunting since I don't want to go into debt without having my home completely paid off. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi @Jacquese Steen, Welcome to the community, and thank you for your service. You've accomplished so much this year, and that drive and discipline from the military will be a huge asset as you move into real estate and entrepreneurship. It's very normal to feel cautious about debt, especially after just buying your first home. But the great thing is, you don't need to rush. Take your time learning and connecting with others who've been in your shoes. A lot of veterans have built wealth through real estate..whether through house hacking, VA loan opportunities, or starting small with a rental. You're on the right path already by asking questions and thinking long-term.
