Looking at Buying First Property

Gregory Moser
Posted

Hello everyone. I live in the Mechanicsburg area in PA and am looking at purchasing a house (future rental property) in the next few months. I am seeking an investor willing to provide guidance on my journey.

I can comfortably afford a single family home/townhouse with the idea of living there for a year before moving out and renting out the property. Duplex's are a bit out of my price range without high leverage but I'm willing to consider it if it makes financial sense.

Please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your time.

Hi @Gregory Moser, welcome! This is how I got started: I bought a home to live in, fixed it up, and waited for some equity to build before buying my next single-family home and renting out the first one. It’s a great way to ease into investing without taking on too much risk upfront. You’re on the right track, focus on properties where you can add value and build momentum over time.
