Good evening guys! I am new to the Bigger Pockets Community, and extremely excited to join this group of like-minded, determined, intelligent, and successful people. I am 20 years old, and just moved out to the Pittsburgh, PA area. I was interested in moving out to the area to get closer to my long distance girlfriend for a while. I ended up meeting someone in Columbus who lived in the Pittsburgh area and has quite a few rental properties. He was living in the Columbus area temporarily, waiting to acquire his real estate agent license in the Pittsburgh area. He and I hit it off pretty quickly because I had been interested in real estate investing for quite some time. Ironically enough he ended up being my realtor on my first property, which was a 4-unit house hack in the Pittsburgh area. Not only did I begin my investing journey with this move, but I also got to close the distance between me and my girlfriend! Very interested in connecting with anyone in the Pittsburgh area, or anyone  anywhere for that matter. I do have one rental property, however I am very new to the game. Excited to learn alongside all of you guys on our journeys!

@Calvin Spike

Welcome! That’s an awesome story and a strong start.

At 20 with a 4 unit house hack already done, you’re ahead of most people. Plus you solved investing and the long distance situation at the same time, can’t beat that.

Pittsburgh is a great market to keep building in. Stay around other investors, keep learning, and look for your next opportunity sooner than later.

If you ever need help on financing for the next deal, happy to be a resource. Glad you’re here 👊
