Software developer here to learn how agents actually work

Hi everyone — I'm Armen, a software developer. Not an agent and new to the investing world. I build tools for real estate agents, and i learned pretty fast that i can't build anything useful from behind a screen. So i'm here to read and ask the occasional dumb question.

Mostly interested in the unglamorous side of the business: follow-up, what happens to leads after hours, how agents keep track of people without dropping balls.
