New To Real Estate Investing

Jaymes Turowski
Posted

Hey I'm Jaymes!

For the Past few years now my wife and I have had real estate investing as an idea in the back of our minds. It's only been until recently, when we found Bigger Pockets' interviews on Youtube, that we started seeing how feasible it is to actually start piecing this life together!

I'm from the Huntsville, AL area but we are currently living outside the US; because of that, I feel a bit free to jump into any market, yet at the same time feel a bit more comfortable looking into the Huntsville area.

For the time being, however, my wife and I are focused on developing our fundamental knowledge so within a year we can take on our first property.

    Hi @Jaymes Turowski

    Welcome to Bigger Pockets!

This is a great place to start. Watching podcasts, talking to other investors that have done exactly what you're looking to do, and narrowing down you target markets are all things I'd have on my check list to get prepared to invest. I work with out of state ( and a few out of country ) investors looking to invest and build their rental business in the Memphis, TN market. Investors tend to lean toward markets like ours because of the low entry points, rent to price ratios, and landlord friendly laws. Happy to set up a call to talk more about Memphis!

    Best of luck!
