New comer from Leander TX - where to start ?

Question

Hello every body,

My name is Lily Peckman from Leander Texas. I am a new comer in Bigger Pocket, also in Real Estate world. I have just finished my RE workshop & Boot Camp with Scott Yancey group. Now I am ready to move forward in the real deal. I am looking forward to meet new friend and field partner - and eager to learn more from the professional.

I have been watching the market in my city and surround area, and I would say my city is booming, a lot of new development is gong on right now. House price is increasing. My tutor told us to start from our own backyard, which I have tried without any success yet.

I read a book by Loral Langemeier - and there is a story of somebody who starting by connected to a field partner who was buying houses that generated cash flow - in bread and butter house market. Well, I tough I would be like to find that kind of field partner. So, hopefully here in Bigger Pocket I will meet the right field partner to work together.

Hi Greg, nice to meet you. I plan to buy, rehab and sell properties, also I would like to have rental properties. About skill, well, I have Accounting background, cad drafting, land surveying, research for deed etc from working at Land Surveying company. And my husband, he did land surveying, and he have done some rehab for residential. We would be open for partnership, look forward for it.

Hi Joe, thanks for your welcome, I am sorry for delay in replying. I plan to do some buy, rehab and sell. Also I would like to have some rental properties. Right now I still work full time, so I only dedicate like 2-3 hours per day to do this business.

Leander is a nice little town, and I'd expect that it is only going to continue to grow as Austin keeps expanding outward. It also has the benefit of the 195 expansion project connecting Killeen and Austin. I would imagine that there will be a fair amount of military folks starting to look that way as time passes.

As the others have stated, tell us all a little more about your plans. What areas of the market do you intend to focus on? What particular skills would you bring to a possible partnership?

I'm active in the area, despite being in Korea for a year, and have several contacts available if you need to be pointed in a particular direction.
