New landlord in Schenectady (Albany), NY

We just bought our first house and it's a duplex in Schenectady County in upstate NY near Albany.  It's our first time on the investor side of things. We're super excited and I'm a little bit nervous that I'll mess something up.  It's an older place but I'm happy about what we got for the money, even if the purchase process was a 5 month slog.

The tenants are great (so far) and paid their first month's rent.  I think they're still bound to the previous owner's lease which went month-to-month. I'd rather have them sign a new lease though.

I just finished tailoring a freebie lease I found online and I'm looking for a local lawyer who specializes in landlord/tenant law to look it over. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Oh, and I really enjoy the podcast.  It's very encouraging to hear just how many ways there are to make money in RE.  I may be able to wholesale for a friend!
