Explorer in Seattle, WA. Learning the ropes, getting tangled and untangled.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie from the Seattle, WA area. I'm originally from Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA.

I've just recently found out about BP and dove in headfirst after listening to all the podcasts, reading the beginner's guide, and meeting Brandon and all the friendly people from the Snohomish meetup. Since then I've learned alot from trying to make an offer for a dump of a place towards rebuilding it, and am currently looking at other strategies and planning on doing some blogging about it soon.

I've been considering renovations and/or multifamilies in the Seattle core even though the ROI is so poor just so I wouldn't have to keep paying rent of ~18k/yr. My SO has a requirement that we start with a property to call our own before doing any other RE investing, and whatever place we start with has to have public transit to downtown Seattle for her commute, so that narrows down our options quite a bit. She's an architect and has a few connections to people in the renovation biz, so that can hopefully help us.

Anyways, enough rambling for now. Looking forward to meeting and working with you guys!
