Hello from Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Hi all,

My name is Cameron Terry, I am 21 years old and I am located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Currently managing a pizza restaurant and in the process of finishing filing for my real estate investment company, CT Investment Group, Inc.  My girlfriend and I are completely new to real estate and trying to learn as much as we can. I'm excited I've been introduced to this great site and look forward to speaking and maybe working with some of you in the near future!

God bless!

-Cameron

Welcome, Cameron. I just moved to Tulsa a few months ago and am still pretty new to investing myself. Best piece of advice is to network locally as much as you can. There's a Tulsa REIA meeting on the first Thursday of every month. Might want to check it out.

What type of investing are you looking to do?

Thank you Ryan! I will look into those meetings! I'm currently studying hard on wholesaling. I think that is going to be my first step!

Thank you, @Jaren Barnes ! I really appreciate it. I'm reading the beginner guide right now! And I will definitely contact you in the near future with questions I'm sure. Thanks again.

Welcome fellow Bigger Pockets member! This is a great forum and I am sure it will help you learn many facets of the real estate investment world. I purchased my first investment property over 40 years ago and only wish that I had a resource like BP community when I got started! So you are in a good company.

Some say that your net-worth equals your network, and this is the place to make right connections. You should also find investors locally and network with them face-to-face. Find people close to you using MEET feature. Also, look for investor meetings on Meetup.

All the best!

@Cameron Terry

Welcome. Time to build the foundation below.

Two Great reads, I bought both J. Scott The Book on Flipping Houses,The Book on Estimating ReHab Costshttp://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and all the cash buyers (rehabbers) you will need.

Consider checking out HUD homes for small multi's owner occupied gets first crack.

You might consider Niche or Specialized Housing like student housing. Rents can be 2-4 times more. Remember you don't have to own a property to control it.

Download BP’s newest book here some good due diligence in Chapter 10. Real Estate Rewind Starting over

I apologize for the extremely delayed reply, Chris. But, currently I am searching hard for great deals to wholesale. If you'd like, feel free to send me a message and let me know what type of properties and desired price range and I'll happily see what I can do for ya =)

Hi Folks, I'm holding a non performing note on a 3/2 ranch style home on 104th st in Tulsa. We will be foreclosing on it in the next few months and I plan to liquidate either at the auction or after as REO. Its in decent shape and will make a good rental property for a local investor. If anyone has an interest, feel free to connect with me on BP and I'll provide more info.
