Hi Everyone! My husband Tad and I are just beginning our REI journey. Our only experience with real estate is the purchase of our own home about 9 months ago. Our main interests at this point are flipping and buy and hold. Our short-term goal is to do as much learning and networking as possible, and to have our first deal completed within 12 months. Long-term goals include eventually leaving my current career to do REI full time, and retiring early with a decent passive income. I am currently a Medical Laboratory Scientist working in Microbiology at a local university hospital, and my husband is a PGA golf professional at a local country club.
Reading Rich Dad Poor Dad several years ago initially sparked my interest in REI. I'm very excited to get started with this new venture, and I'm grateful that I've found BP to help! The Ultimate Beginner's Guide and the podcasts have been excellent resources. I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the forums and interacting with people in all different stages of investing careers!
