Rookie from Montreal!

Good afternoon Pocketeers,

I am very happy to introduce myself as a new member of the Bigger Pockets community as well as a new real estate investor from Montreal, Canada (We The North!).

First of all, I would like to thank the Bigger Pockets community for sharing their knowledge, experiences, and advice, as it has tremendously helped me learn and build up the courage I needed to dive into RE investing after years of inaction.  I hope to return the favor throughout my journey into the world of real estate.  

I'm currently working as a civil engineer in the transportation sector, and I closed on my first investment property this month, a single family home fix and flip project.  We start demo tomorrow morning!  In addition to the wealth of knowledge on this site and in J. Scott's Book on Flipping Houses and Book on Estimating Rehab Costs, my day job experience has also tremendously helped me in the planning phase of the rehab (managing contractors, scheduling, estimating).  

I look forward to sharing my successes and failures with the BP crew.
