New investor in Rhode Island

Hello All,

I am an Investor looking to get started in real estate via wholesaling. Eventually I want to rent out properties and eventually buy and holds. I don't have much real estate experience however I've been researching and found out what my business approach will be. As of right now I am looking for vacancies to wholesale to investors or landlords. I figured this would be a great way to get my feet wet in this business. I look forward to networking with you all and establishing myself as a serious investor in the community.  Any advice, ideas or knowledge anyone would like to share would be greatly appreciated!

Frank, welcome to Bigger Pockets! As you have probably seen, there are a lot of resources here on BP for both wholesaling and landlording (buy and hold).

I would also recommend attending a local real estate investor group such as RIREIG in RI (monthly on 3rd Thursday; see http://www.rireig.com) or Black Diamond RE Investors in southern Mass (http://blackdiamondrei.com).

And of course if you have specific questions feel free to post them here on BP :)
