New to the game, in Deep East Texas

I live in rural East Texas.  The closest metro area is Dallas - Fort Worth.  I have not yet found a property, but I am interesting in building wealth/cash flow through rentals.  I am one of the thousands of people who "have always wanted" to do it, but never took that first step.  This is my first step!  Wish me luck.

I'm on a couple real estate groups on Facebook and there usually is a decent amount of traffic around SS. You may find places in your backyard instead of having to invest in Dallas where competition appears to have skyrocketed based on other BPers discussions.
