Hello from Michigan!

Greetings Bigger Pockets members! My name is John Jernigan and I am a Special Education teacher in Michigan. I have been reading up on REI and am trying to immerse myself in as much information as possible before taking the next steps towards my future Real Estate Empire. I have always had this idea that I would spend my summers flipping houses to supplement my school year income, but the more I read and learned about REI, the more excited I became about the variety of possibilities. I plan on starting my venture into REI by becoming certified as an agent to learn the ins and outs of the buying/selling process. I have also been staking out a potential farm area based on the types of homes I would like to start with. I have also established a rough (very very very rough) outline of a business plan that I revisit, alter and tweak the more and more I learn. I have been reading BP forums, case studies, and articles for a couple months, and can see that amazing contributions from people just like me that have a passion for Real Estate and of course making money! I look forward to sharing my journey and reading about all of your triumphs and even mistakes along the way. Cheers from Detroit!
