Newbie in Owensboro, KY

I have been interested in the real estate investment market for a while now and am finally ready to pull the trigger and get my business started. I am a 30 year old IT professional and moved to the Owensboro, KY area back in August 2014. I am married and my wife and I just had our first child. I really want to secure a financial future for my family and see real estate as the best way to do that. I primarily want to focus on the rental market with the occasional flip.
