New Investor from Agoura Hills, CA
Hello Everyone,
My name is Dustin Weissman. I've been learning about investing over the last two years. I am finally scheduled to take my RE Salesperson Exam next month! I'm very excited to have this credential and potential source of income under my belt. I am a very busy and ambitious young professional. I am 2 years shy of earning my Psychology Doctorate (PsyD). I own and operate a local tutoring business. I am an Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Sociology at DeVry University. I spend the majority of my time with my lovely wife and beautiful 1 and 3 year old daughters. I am also working on a practicum at the Department of Rehabilitation doing psychological assessments.
I love playing soccer on my free time. That is the one time where all the other responsibilities of my life are left behind. I am also very hungry to start building wealth and passive income for myself and family.
With regards to real estate, I have studied Wendy Patton's course on Lease Options, but did not have the best timing or location for trying to get one to work. So, I have yet to do my first deal. I am greatly intrigued by fix and flip deals, but am too green with too little financial resources for the risk. I am inspired by Ron Legrand's methods on seller financing. Proper documentation has held me back in the past, so now I am seeking to build my resource base. What better place than this? I learned about Bigger Pockets from one of the Real Estate Investor meetings that I have attended in my area. I am also interested in learning more about commercial real estate.
I look forward to networking with many of you and hopefully making money with you as well. I am optimistic and excited about this next venture in my life.
