Newbie from Chicago, Illinois
Hi BiggerPockets community,
I came across this site about 2 weeks ago on YouTube. I've been absorbing a great deal of information and figured it was time to introduce myself.
22 years old. Completely new to business of real estate and my brother and I were looking to gain the knowledge to begin investing, hopefully, within the next 6 months. Also looking to acquire the skills to eventually build a house from the ground up.
Right now I'm still enrolled in school majoring in business management and debating if I should go for a dual major in IT. I also drive for Lyft on the side as a source of income.
My goals for the moment are to find some good deals on foreclosed properties and in turn use the profits towards a more extensive training and education. My main focus is to obtain all the knowledge that I can so that I can minimize the risk of failure.
