Jersey Boy / Boston College grad and new user! [Boston]

Hi, I'm Mike! I am a Jersey Boy and a Boston College grad (Go Eagles!). I own a small ad-tech firm in Boston that I had the fortune of starting while I was in college. With a little luck and hard work it has become a living, breathing company.

I have always be interested in finance and if I did not have my company I would currently be working at UBS in New York City. My father is a real-estate developer in New Jersey and I am eager to learn more about the trade.

If you are from Boston, feel free to reach out - I am always up for meeting new people!

Hey @Michael Nardella

Welcome to the BP community! I guess we have two things in common, NJ natives and ACC conference counterparts (Go Hokies!). I would suggest you click on the "Learn" tab on the top and read the Ultimate Beginners Guide to real estate investing and additional articles. I would also recommend 'The Millionaire Real Estate Investor' by Gary Keller.

Also, be active in this community and don't be afraid to reach out to people. I would also identify a couple REIA meetings and go to them and network. Word of advice- make some business cards.

Lastly, and almost most importantly read about the different types of real estate investing and identify what interests you the most and study it. I remember starting out and trying to absorb everything. I would focus on what your goals are and stick with it. If not you can end up in analysis paralysis.

Good luck!

Brian
