Hello from Massachusetts!
Hello everyone! My name is Joe and I'm located in Waltham, Massachusetts. I work full time as an IT Lab Engineer and have a lot of experience with IT. I've just started getting into real estate investing over the past few months. I've been attending local REI club meetings, researching online, and networking. I'm looking to start purchasing multifamily properties in Massachusetts and possibly southern New Hampshire, and rent them out for cash flow.
Multiple people have recommended I check out BiggerPockets, so I started listening to the podcasts and joined this site. I'm looking forward to joining the community and networking with folks here!

Hi Joe, welcome to BP.
Glad you took all of our advice and joined BP and introduced yourself to the community! This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.
This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.
Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have. I know you have been to the Boston AREIA and we talked about the Black Diamond meeting right in Waltham. I believe you also mentioned you were going to be at the NEREIA in Chelmsford, so you are off to a great start with your local networking. Not sure what other ones I mentioned to you but I'd also check out The Boston Investor's quarterly meetup in Reading. Oh and since you said you might be looking in Southern NH I'd also say look into going to the NH RE Mastermind meeting in Nashua (it is about 15 min farther up Rt3 as the Chelmsford meeting so if that commute doesn't bother you Nashua shouldn't either).
