New Member Introduction
My name is John,
I am grateful to introduce myself to the community. In my introduction I would like to share some words about myself, Share my goals, Share my why and invite you to speak with me on how I can help you.
About Me:
By trade I am carpenter and have worked on major projects including the San Francisco 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, Earthquake Stadium in San Jose and New Facebook Campus in Menlo Park.
I recently after the last major project (the 49er Stadium) have started to work in high end residential $1,000,000 on up to 50,000,000 and more. I find the work very satisfying however the income that bring home in exchange working for someone else, is nowhere near my potential and at the end of the day I feel my bank account does not reflect my blood, sweat and tears. I take full responsibility for this and am figuring out a way to earn the life I would like to have.
I would like to give a little more detail about why I chose carpentry. I was an employee at a large silicon valley company and went on a trip to Louisiana to build part of a house for a victim of hurricane Katrina as a community service and realized this is what I want to do as my career. as the years progressed as a carpenter, I heard of other carpenters buying a home working on it their self and making profits. Since I am a carpenter I feel I can do the same.
I travel about 4 hours a day 2 hours to and 2 hours back that's half my work shift driving. I'm tired beat and really look forward to earning profits and not wages. I do not want to be a carpenter forever but I would like to master it.
So in taking full responsibility in this time of my life I have decided to begin my RE career. I will continue to work fulltime as a carpenter to support my family and every second I can work on real estate investing.
Goals:
Since I'm living paycheck to paycheck I am have to be realistic and know I can put a down payment down or invest with buy and hold so heres my plan while saving
* Now
- The 4 hours I am driving a Mon - Fri I listen to all the books mentioned in the Bp podcast
- Re-Listen to all Bp podcasts (I've listened to them all once already)
- Attend Every Bp webcast
- Invite an investor to lunch one saturday a month
- Interact with Bp Members and get as much Mentoring as possible
- Networking Cards
* Mid Range (3 months and on)
- Possibly partner with anyone needing some help with wholesaling or flipping
- even though REI's are product driven i'd like to think there's opportunity so I will go to meetups and attend REIA whenever possible
* Long (3-12 months)
- Start wholesaling (ETHICALLY) to build rapport and relationships in the industry
- Create a plan for networking/marketing/advertising
- Utilize the earnings to put down on a Renovation for either resale or rental
- Create systems that scale my business wholesaling, flips and investments for a healthy growth
- Utilize FHA and get duplex
* 10x Moon Shot by 2022! id like to say
- I have perfect health and fitness
- I have 10x relationship with family, friends and community
- I have properties net gain of a minimum of 1 million a year
- I have 1 million in checking 2 million in savings
- I have a full service RE company Wholesale/ReBuild/Build/Manage
My why:
- My why is simple: I want to be a philanthropist of love, wisdom and wealth to my family, friends and community.
How I can Help you:
- I am a carpenter and I know a little about workflow and construction projects and love to sweat whether physically or mentally
- I feel I am a great manager, communicator, action taker and problem solver
All in all I hope this gives everyone a little understanding of my myself, my passion and my aspirations.
Have a great day,
John
P.S. Im open for conversation please critique if you feel the need to or just acknowledge me as a new member either way, I cannot control what is said to me however, I can choose how I react to it.

@John G. That is probably the best intro I have seen in a long time. You definitely have put some thought into your plan. @Account Closed is a great no-BS gem of knowledge, so definitely meet up with him when you get the chance. Also @Jeff Pollack has a great meet up in the South Bay that is very informative. I am by no means in the same level with these guys but I am closer to the "serious" start-up side of my REI carrier. I am often in Oakland on the weekends working on my units, feel free to drop me a line if you want to sit down and chat.
Good luck to you!
