Hello BP,

I've been enjoying the wealth of information on this site.

I am a fairly new real estate investor in the Waco, TX area. I have been toying with the idea for some time but have gotten distracted or discouraged but with the support of my wife, I have committed myself to real estate investing. I have worked a full-time job at the same company for 15+ years. Not too crazy about the job but with a child I needed the stability/predictability of the 8-5. I never planned to get wealthy, just trying to make it to retirement.

A couple years ago while going through a divorce, I decided it was time to stop being satisfied with the status quo and became determined to complete a degree. So, I started taking classes toward a BBA in General Business. I am STILL trudging along with that, taking only 6 hers per semester is causing it to take longer than I would like but I'm getting there.

A couple months ago, I started considering real estate as a way to supplement my current income and build long term wealth. We closed on our first deal yesterday and couldn't be more nervous and excited all at the same time. Fingers crossed!

Many Blessings to everyone and I look forward to learning all I can from the great people here on BP.

See you around.

Allen
