Hello all. I'm very new to real estate investment - so new, in fact, that I am here as part of my research plan before I even take the big plunge.

At this point my plan is mostly focused around purchasing and renting small multi-units. However, I'm not ruling out single-family homes or commercial properties, either. I'm looking for long-term wealth accumulation and for the near-term tax benefits.

I'm hoping that I can extract some good information from everyone here and hopefully contribute some of the same at some point.
