Hi everyone,

I'm Roger, new member in San Diego, CA.  I'm interested in learning more about real estate investing and property management.  I'm considering becoming a first-time landlord and I'm looking for fresh ideas about where the best opportunities can be found.

Hey Roger, if you're looking to landlord for the first time I'd say look for something close to home right there in Ramona.  There is a lot to learn and adding a long commute or plane ride to it just complicates things and makes the whole process that much more expensive.  I don't know how difficult it is to find deals in your area but I would highly recommend starting local and then branching out to landlording at a distance once you have more experience.
