Newbie from Jacksonville Florida
Hello fellow BP's! I am a newbie in the Jacksonville Florida area. I have lived in Jacksonville since 2000. I am a full time RN and love what I do, but I am working towards becoming financially independent. I have been listening to podcasts on investing and becoming financially independent. That is how I came across Bigger Pockets. I am trying to learn all I can before I jump in head first. I am interested in Buy and Hold to create passive income to allow me to eventually have freedom. I am currently taking an online course to get my Real Estate license, reading everything I can, listening to BP podcast, and scouring the BP website. I was interested in joining a REIA group to network and meet fellow investors, etc. Does anyone know any REIA groups worth mentioning? Any other suggestions to get my feet wet would be greatly appreciated. I have only bought, renovated, and sold one home (my own) and I really made out but it was just bought and sold at the right time. Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions.
