Newbie in Austin, Texas

Hey everybody,

I've been creeping on bigger pockets for a couple months now.  But I've mostly just been reading articles and listening to the podcast.  So I think it's about time I make it official and introduce myself. My name is George, and I am currently located in the Austin, Texas area.  I am 22 years old, trying to finish up college while working part time at a bank.  Right now I am trying to educate myself and network as much as possible.  But hope to be in a good position to start a marketing campaign, and start wholesaling by the start of 2016.  And if all goes good, hopefully build capital to start flipping in the future as well.  I have helped my dad with remodeling projects all my life since the home he lives in now was a distressed foreclosure. We pretty much had to remodel everything on our own.  So my background with the construction side of things is pretty solid.  I am looking forward to becoming an avid member on bigger pockets, and can't wait to start meeting everyone!

Jorge,

As was previously mentioned, to succeed in any business you must get your team together and to do that, you must become a relationship building machine.  MeetUps are a great place to start.  Contact me directly if you want information on my upcoming MeetUp on the 27th.  The speaker buys 40 to 50 homes a year and will discuss the systems and processes he uses to do this level of business and still have time for some great vacations.
