Derek Smith - Florida (Orlando) Commercial Broker by trade
My background is all commercial real estate. My bachelors degree is in real estate from UCF (Go Knights). From there I moved into commercial appraisal to learn to underwrite and value as many types of property as possible. Then into commercial brokerage where my focus is on existing multifamily properties and developing multifamily near Orlando.
I've been lucky enough to work on everything from valuing theme parks to deal structuring on high-rise multifamily properties.
