Hello All,

My name is Stephen (24 years old). I am very new to the REI community. Myself and two partners have started a Real Estate LLC. We are looking to start our operation in the Philly area nearby to either Temple, Drexel, or UPenn. I wanted to see if anybody in this community has experienced investing in the Philadelphia area with Turnkey investments, student rentals, and renting to professionals. If so, how has your experience affected your views on the Philadelphia real estate market and further investing in Philadelphia? We appreciate all responses and thank you for your time.

@Stephen Perez

Welcome to the vibrant BP community. Ok, now that you have taken your initial step, below are some quick links to get engaged.

Seeing that you are interested in rentals, I added the below links while you wait for local connections and feedback in the Philly area. (house rental guide) (how to buy a rental property) (video with 64 lectures and approx 6hrs of material) (Ultimate beginner's guide to REI)

REI can be very daunting, but, before you go searching for that 1st buy, please take a few minutes to bone up on the tips in link below.

REI books suggested by BPers (7 absolute must read books for beginner REI) (books recommended by BPers)

Simply, bone up on the areas that you need to expand knowledge in such as, Forums, Marketplace, Learn, Network, Analyze and Resources.

Feast on the Podcasts, #askbp Podcasts, blogs and webinars

Lastly, this site thrives on interactions and as such we encourage two way exchanges and look forward to educational and thought provoking ideas relevant to REI.
