Best REI books?

Hey friends, I'm new to REI. Any MUST-HAVE books to learn more about this market?

Lots of them! There are some through BP such as Brandon's books. A few others that are essential to me are:1. by Frank Gallinelli-what ever investor needs to know about cash flow2. Hold by Chader3. The millionaire real estate investor4. Flip by Villani

there are lots more and some will be specific to your area of interest. There are several threads on BP about the most recommended ones.

Hello and welcome!  The most popular book I heard of during Podcast replays was " Rich Dad Poor Dad". E myth was the most said by guests on Podcast replay.  Just remember that most of the books are at the Library locally.  I am 59 years old and I found BP about 4 months ago and I am still learning.  I graduated from college with a business degree that empasiEd real estate.  I got the degree and a broker license in 1980.  If you think that I might be any help to you please contact me at any time.  Good luck!

Hi @Jake Calle.  I really enjoyed The ABCs of Real Estate Investing by Ken McElroy.  I'm halfway through The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller and it's great so far.  I would highly recommend listening to the BP podcasts to get book recommendations, as it's one of the standard questions.  The more popular recommendations that aren't specifically about RE per se are Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Think and Grow Rich, The E-Myth Revisited, and the 4 Hour Workweek.  I haven't made it to the 4 Hour Workweek, but the others were definitely worth reading.

Honorable mention to "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, Not a real estate book, but a pretty good book nonetheless.

(Not just plugging the previous 2 because they're on BP. I've read all 4 books atleast twice and they're good books for RE.

One guest even referred to it as the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad podcast" because of how many times that book was mentioned.  Hehe.
