New to Investing

Hi there. My name is Brad and I am based in Silver Spring, MD. My background is less in real estate investing and more in community development and non-profit activities related to the housing market. I have been involved with several foreclosure prevention initiatives with the major lenders and government agencies for the past seven years. I have joined this group for two reasons - one is that I represent a non-profit (501c3) that takes property/land donations and rehabs for sale to low/moderate income families, veterans and active-duty military. The other reason is that I am interested in flipping properties, primarily in the Baltimore-Washington area, as well as potentially investing in some rental properties. I am looking forward to meeting many of you and I am excited to start investing.
