My name is Andre Boyd a newbie from Dolton IL, I have been actively pursuing real estate investing for a year now. I continue to make offers on SFR for buy and hold deals as I am trying to build a portfolio of residential rental properties.
We wouldn't recommend doing a deal without equity. I wouldn't count on appreciation. At least without sweat equity. The reason for this is because we want multiple ways to get out of it. We never want our payments to be higher than the rent. If the market turns you may be upside down, just like a lot of people were a few years ago. We understand it's hard some markets.
