Hello I am very new to this site and extremely excited to have come across it. I am a Canadian living in Allen Texas and have been in the US mortgage industry for several years. It has been a long running dream of mine to get involved in REI. :) I decided 2016 was going to be my year. Any and all feedback is welcome. :)

I have been doing a lot of research on whether or not I should get my Real Estate License and it seems like it would probably be a good idea, I am just not sure how to go about finding a place to hang my license.... suggestions....:)

Thanks inadvance and once again happy and thankful to find such a resourceful site!

Jocelyn

Welcome. Fill in the foundation below.

Check out the Start Here page http://www.biggerpockets.com/starthere

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers). You can Google to locate them and go to meetup.com Find out where the investors hang their license and why. Someone on your team should have MLS access it just doesn't have to be you.

Two Great reads, I bought both J. Scott The Book on Flipping Houses, The Book on Estimating ReHab Costs http://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook

Consider checking out HUD homes for small multi's owner occupied gets first crack.

Download BP’s newest book here some good due diligence in Chapter 10. Real Estate Rewind Starting over
