A friend of mine recommended this site.  My name is Jon Gagnon and I live in Eureka, CA.  This July I will retire from the U.S. Coast Guard after 30 years.  We are buying a house now and I'm excited.  I really don't want to work for anyone full time, so I was hoping to have some kind of a career in real estate.  I've always wanted to flip houses and am pretty handy in the shop.  I've hoping to find tips and insight from this site.  

Looking forward to spending time poking in and out of the discussions.
