New Member from New York

Hi All,

I have just joined Bigger Pockets community. I have recently relocated from London to NYC and I am looking to build a real estate portfolio.

I work in finance and will be investing in real estate on the side. My strategy is to buy and hold. 

The areas I am looking at are New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. 

Prices seem to be at their peak, so it will probably be wise to sit and wait for the right moment to invest in my first property. I would really appreciate any comments from the community and the dates of the next Bigger Pockets meeting in NYC/NJ/CT
