Newbie from Gilbert, AZ
Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Talbot and I am brand new to the real estate world (aside from the BP podcasts, and as many books as I've been able to read/listen to in the last month or so. I am very excited about the possibilities in REI and I am so glad I found this community. A little about me, I grew up Gilbert, AZ. After high school I ventured off to U of AZ in Tucson. I then spent a couple years in Brazil living among the people and soaking up an incredible culture. I returned to Arizona State Univ but couldn't find a major that suited me so I decided to enlist in the military. I served on active duty in the Air Force for four years, with two tours of duty to Iraq in that time. After I separated from the military I returned to school at ASU and graduated in Kinesiology and from there I went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern AZ University in 2014 and I have been working in the field since then. I worked in beautiful Monterey, CA for almost a year but moved back to AZ with my wife mid 2015 and am currently working in a hospital in Scottsdale right now. I do enjoy the opportunity I have to help people in my career field but I am loving learning about real estate investing and while I know it is not a way to get rich quick, it is something for which I have a passion. I am trying to find a way to get my real estate license right now while working full time but where there is a will, there is a way. I am excited about networking and getting to know people with similar goals and mindsets. If you have any questions or would like to know more about me, feel free to ask. I look forward to being more active on these pages and immersing myself in everything BP.

Welcome Ryan, I'm also a UofA alum with a similar education background. I graduated from UA with a Physiology degree before going the pharmacy route. Welcome to BP, it's a great source of information. I'm closing today on my first MF property after following the site, watching @Brandon Turner's webinars, books, podcast. You are definitely a motivated individual, you'll do well in this world :-) Reach out if you have any questions.
