Hey!

I'm a Senior Software Engineer working in Salt Lake City, looking to diversify my income. I think I'm primarily interested in buy and hold of multi-family properties. I'm currently researching using an FHA to get a duplex or triplex, and then living there for the allotted time before buying another property and moving out. Right now I'm just playing with the numbers and looking at the market, trying to figure out how to make it work. Seems like the purchase price to rent income ratio at most of the things I've seen before isn't quite right. But, I am just figuring it out.

Anyway, glad to be here! Seems like a great community and I'm looking forward to tagging along and soaking it all in!

It's a GREAT way to go! I've done it twice now. Once in South Salt Lake and now in the 9th and 9th area. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you have any questions. The community here is great, very responsive and highly intelligent!
