Investor in Milwaukee

Hi everyone,

I'm new in the real estate game, and would love some advice from Milwaukee locals (I am based in California). I have family in Milwaukee and have decided to start building my portfolio there since it is a lot more affordable than my local real estate market. I'm looking to invest in rental properties (3 br, single family) with the intent to buy and hold. I'm hoping to purchase 3 properties this year and 5 next year. I've already put offers in on 3 properties in the past month, but wasn't able to get an offer accepted--for a rental property, the numbers just didn't add up when the buyers countered. Any other investors out there that have any advice as to what neighborhoods I should be looking at? I'm currently looking in Bay View, St. Francis and West Allis primarily. Would love any advice that you may have.

Thanks in advance!

Katie

Duplexes and Multifamily are very expensive in Bay View.

Maybe consider South Milwaukee and Cudahy.

Cudahy has a mixture of old and newer construction properties.

-> Keep information to yourself

( few opportunities for Condo rentals in Cudahy )
