Hello everyone,

I am brand new to Bigger pockets and see that it was recommended to post an introduction thread. I am a young professional working for a bank that has seen many real estate investors grow their portfolio through using leverage and investing smart. I am interested in learning more about real estate investing and to learn about the pitfalls that can go with it.

I currently do not own any real estate, but I have a goal/plan to buy a multifamily unit (3 or 4 flex) in Chicago in the next 9-12 months and to live in one of the units, while renting out the others.

Thank you and I look forward to learning more about real estate through the forums.

Kurt
