New member from Southeast Michigan
Hey BP community!! My name is Mike and based on the subject and category of this thread, I think you have guessed (correctly) that I am new to the site. I stumbled across the site when I was looking for investment podcasts and found the BP podcast with such high reviews. After listening to a few episodes (currently on ep. 15), I decided to sign up for the site to get engaged with the experts.
About me: I was born and still live in Southeast Michigan; more specifically in Oakland/Macomb County area. I am in my early 30s (soon to be mid 30s) and am married with one child who was born just over a month ago.
My goal: To accumulate wealth. I am looking for additional avenues for investing that will help to increase or replace my current income with a focus of growing those investments over time.
My background: I have zero experience with real estate except for owning my own home. However, I am a numbers guy and base all of my investment decisions based on the numbers. I have come to the site to learn as much as I can about REI and to learn from other experts on the site.
Hopefully that gave you a quick idea of who I am in 30 seconds. Just wanted to say hi and that I'm glad to meet you all!!
