Hello all,

My name is William LoPresti and I am new to real estate investing as well as BiggerPockets. I am a Registered Nurse and I work 3-12 hour shifts/week. Therefore, I have plenty of free time to focus on REI. I am highly motivated to learn and eager to get started investing. I am most interested in buy and hold investing but open to all areas of REI. My goal is to create a portfolio that allows my wife, (also an RN) to stay at home with the kids. This would mean creating a passive monthly income of about $5,000/month. I have been reading about REI ("Ultimate Beginners Guide...", "The Book on Rental Property Investing", "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" etc.) and listening to podcasts on BP. I plan to reach out to my local REIA today and attend my first REIA meeting the first of June (pending my acceptance into the association). I love meeting new people and look forward to building new friendships through REI. Thanks for reading and best wishes to all investors out there.

-Bill

@William LoPresti welcome to BP! Best/first thing to do is get educated. Read read read! Read books on investing in real estate, listen to the podcasts, attend webinars and stay active on the forums while connecting with other investors in your area and pick a niche. Best of luck!
