RE Investing

Hi! I'm a 23 year old college student. I just recently attended Than Merills real estate class in Atlanta. After attending I became really interested in investing. I'm also a swim instructor so I want to stay in the water but I'm also looking for my own financial freedom. I like meeting new people so I'd love a business partner or mentor. We can meet and just talk about the successes and failures of investing and also taking those first steps towards investing. I'm very eager to learn, I don't mind taking risks, and I'm very outgoing. I'd really rather try than to leave myself wondering "what if".. If anyone is willing to reach out and help a young guy obtain their level of success reply and let's get to work!!

Hey Nequon Jeffries I also attended Than's seminar as well as the "discounted" 3 day course. I felt like every thing was setting me up to sell me on the next purchase... Which is usually the case with Gurus. I took from it what valuable information I could salvage and kept on with my hunt for knowledge.

My suggestion is to be as active as possible here on Bigger Pockets. I honestly feel like you can learn more by participating in the forum conversations, listening to BP podcasts, and attending local Meetups, than any of the Entry level seminars.

There are numerous experts in our field right here on BP and most are eager to help by offering you advice and providing answers to your questions. Having a personal mentor is great but you need to be prepared to bring something to the table.. Even as a newbie you have something of value to offer.

Hope this helps and good luck!
