How to create value as a new member?

Question

Hi I am Justin looking to get into real estate in the Fort Worth, Texas area. I have no experience in real estate, I was wondering how newbies can create value in the community without having any expertise?

Sometimes asking questions especially the "new and confused" ones is the best thing to do. It gives people with more experience the chance to look back and sometimes discover that the way we do things is outdated. Also, if you are of the millenial generation my ancient gen X mind always needs help with marketing ideas for the newer platforms like snapshot, periscope and whatever you are using right now that I've never heard of.

You'll find plenty of opinion based questions on here about style, ideas, etc. that you can contribute on. Also, look for questions that may fit a specialty or knowledge area for you. I was able to contribute early by finding questions about insurance, which is a specialty of mine.

The two most valuable commodes are money and experience.

Either get a job somehow related to the industry bring cash or qualify for financing.

I bet you know what it's like to be a tenant, and your local market as far as what tenants are looking for, right?  And maybe roommate situations or problems?  I bet you know more and contribute more than you think.

Knowing what it's like to be a tenant is invaluable in my opinion.  You can still be a stringent landlord, but you know what tenants want, what's important to them, etc.

Offer to help for free in your spare time, then once you have some experience, try to get paid.
