Hello! My name is Jacob Chaas and I just joined BP after doing a lot of reading about Real Estate and listening to Josh and Brandon's podcast. That being said I'm 19 and a second year college student studying medicine at Colgate University so thats where I am when I am away from my home in Hamburg, NY. I just hope that I can learn from this site and other resources so that i can get started in this industry in the near future. See you in the forums!

Hi Jacob, welcome to BP.  I got interested in real estate investing when I was in college too.  It's never too early to start.  Really, the earlier the better.  Whatever you can do now to learn and save money to start investing would be great for your future.

Anyway, living in western NY you definitely have a good opportunity to buy some inexpensive properties.  I recently moved back to NY from CA and I'm finding lots and lots of opportunities to invest here.
