How you doing? I'm new and I want to make some money. My parents raised me paycheck to paycheck and I go to a wealthy school so I'm always embarrassed about driving a 15 year old car to school and living in a mediocre house. I want my kids to be able to grow up comfortably. Although I'm not the one earning the money, I still get stressed about it because I have to loan money I made from work to my parents for groceries and I would like some better clothes.

I'm leaving for Marine Corps boot camp in just a couple months. It's something I've always wanted to do and I think it will be a great start on my road to real estate investing. In the military, you get free housing and when you go overseas you get hazardous duty pay and some really good money. I could probably come out of the military with $100k in the bank account to buy my first investment property and it would be completely paid off.
