Newbie investor from Vero Beach, FL
Hello everyone! I am a former "career management consultant" (Deloitte, Booz Allen for 10+ years) that left/escaped the Washington, D.C. area in 2015 and moved to lovely Vero Beach, Florida with my family. Our initial decision-making criteria for relocating was to be closer to our aging parents, benefit from the lower cost of living, and enjoy the beach lifestyle. However, a year later we have come to realize that the housing market here provides a level of entry in real estate investing that we could not have achieved previously. My husband and I have discussed real estate investing for years, but the math never worked in the D.C. market.
We are currently building a SFH investment property in Vero, and I am currently studying for the Florida Real Estate Associate license exam. I'm eager to leverage my research skills and passion for data analysis in the pursuit of future investments. I am excited to join BiggerPockets, connect with like-minded investors, and learn as much as I can!

My wife and I have also been investing in the Vero / Sebastian market, the market has been growing here. I would not hesitate if you find properties with good numbers.
Good luck with your RE exam I did the same thing and started as an agent.
