Hello, my name is Joshua Lavallais.I recently stumbled across Bigger Pockets while researching the many opportunities in real estate. I'm currently employed as a welder at a local shipyard, and I also serve in the Air Force Reserve.
I have always wanted to pursue a career in real estate, but honestly I was scared of the risk. Lately I've realized all the potential opportunities there is for me to my grow business, and give my family the life they deserve.
At the moment I am taking online course then I plan on taking my real estate exam. I don't anticipate on becoming a real estate agent, but I think having access to the MLS we be beneficial. My primary residences is soon to be my first rental property. I have been screening applicants using Smart Move, and using various tips Ive found thru out the forum . I'm creating a LLC In the next couple weeks, the only problem Im having is naming the business. I have been looking around in the area for duplex, which I plan to live in one side, and rent the other. I think my niche will be in rental properties, however I plan on getting into wholesaling and flipping.
